Chike Emembo

Born in July 1979, Chike Osita Emembo is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist and art entrepreneur. Encouraged by his mother, he began his professional art journey at Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, Anambra State, majoring in sculpture and graphics. He furthered his studies at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, earning a B.A. (Ed) in Fine and Applied Arts in 2003.

Emembo skillfully blends traditional values with modern artistic approaches. He believes that art should extend beyond the studio, influencing how artists build relationships, manage their careers, and engage with the world, all while staying rooted in cultural heritage.

After six years of research and experimentation, Emembo developed a unique technique of transforming unconventional foam sheets into layered storytelling artworks. This method allows him to create intricate textures and depth in his pieces, offering viewers a tactile and immersive experience.

Emembo’s philosophy centers on the idea that art should transcend the confines of the studio, influencing how artists interact, manage their careers, and engage with society, all while remaining grounded in cultural heritage.
