Daniel Ajayi is a Lagos-based visual artist with a strong foundation in Fine and Applied Arts. He began his artistic journey at the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta (FCEOA) in 2009, and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fine and Applied Arts from Ekiti State University (EKSU) in 2014. Daniel has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions, both during and after his academic years. As an educationist, he has dedicated himself to mentoring and teaching young, aspiring artists in both academic institutions and private organizations. A passionate impressionist artist, Daniel is known for his unique use of sequins and beads to explore color, form, and creativity. This innovative medium has become his signature, setting him apart as one of Nigeria’s most authentic and emerging contemporary artists. His work reflects deep commitment and experimentation, pushing the boundaries of mixed-media expression. Beyond visual arts, Daniel is also a versatile musician—a singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, proficient in saxophone and trumpet.
